The first Stadler EuroDual bi-mode locomotive in Germany entered service with HVLE during 2020. The locomotives, which are built at Stadler's plant near Valencia in Spain, are some of the largest locomotives on German railways.
Over 50 locomotives are in service with various private operators and leasing companies today, with operators taking advantage of the locomotives' ability to operate on the main line under either electric or diesel power.
This DVD looks at the history of the locomotives, including their development and their use with several Germany private operators. German commentary. 58 minutes running time.
