Rheine in Nordrhein-Westfalen became a place of pilgrimage for steam enthusiasts in the 1970s as it was home to many of the remaining express steam locomotives in the run-up to the withdrawal of steam by DB in 1977.
This DVD contains footage of steam locomotives at the depot, as well as operating on routes such as the Emslandstrecke. Includes locomotives such as Class 01, 41 and 44s as well memorialised locomtive 043 196.
