The author has spent a considerable amount of time visiting these railways over a 20-year period and in that time has amassed this collection of high quality colour images of the railways and their locomotives.
Most of the images depict the steam locomotives that can still be found operating in Sweden and Norway. All are accompanied by detailed captions that provide further historical information about the railway or anecdotal information about the locomotive illustrated.
