This book was released to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the launch of the Night Ferry service from London to Paris. Passengers would board the train in London and the same carriages would travel by rail, then boat, then rail and reach Paris the following day.
The book includes a brief history of the service, followed by chapters covering the train’s motive power in the UK, France and Belgium. Also covers the ships used for carrying the carriages, as well as the ports and the rolling stock which were used for the service.
Illustrated throughout with black & white photographs, maps and diagrams. English/French text. 118 pages. Published 2011.
