The book describes the growth of the rail network in the area, opening of the expanded depot complex in 1914 and the changing motive power scene over the years with the change from steam to diesel- and electric-hauled trains, DMUs and EMUs including the legendary Uerdingen railbuses.

Includes fleet lists on a number of key dates in the history of the depot, and short histories of all Class 38, 64 and 94 steam locos that were based at Tübingen.
