This book contains a selection of colour and black & white photographs illustrating the line between Carmarthen and Fishguard Harbour in West Wales.
Photographs cover the period between the 1950s and the present day and illustrate the wide variety of locomotive types to have been used on the line prior to the introduction of diesel multiple units.
Includes an introduction to the line and to the development of Fishguard as a harbour, as well as a look at the milk and fish trains which operated around West Wales during the 1950s and 1960s. The main section of the book takes us on a journey along the line from Carmarthen, with chapters covering each location. Each chapter includes some text describing the history of the location, along with a series of photographs. Maps and track diagrams are included for certain complex locations.
